Fashion designer Supria Munjal has opened her first flagship space in New Delhi, positioning it as an immersive couture destination rooted in memory, heritage and quiet luxury. The Supria Munjal flagship couture store New Delhi spans 1,550 square feet in Ambawatta and has been conceived as both a retail environment and a narrative space.

The store blends Indian heritage with modern minimalism, aiming to create an atmosphere of intimacy within a grand setting. Munjal drew inspiration from her grandmother’s belief that each family member is like a unique flower in a garden, a philosophy that celebrates individuality within unity.

This idea has been translated into the store’s design language. The flagship is described as unfolding like a garden in bloom, with elements that resemble petals arranged in symmetry. The ceiling is envisioned as a blossom that mirrors this floral architecture, symbolising growth and layered stories. Light, shadow and texture work together to create a mood that balances drama with calm.

The space has been designed by Renesa Architecture Design Interiors Studio, led by principal architect Sanchit Arora and senior associate Akarsh Verma. The studio has integrated clean lines with organic textures to reflect the brand’s modern but rooted identity.

Arora said the project was about sculpting an immersive spatial experience in which volume flows seamlessly, light interacts with form and the architectural shell becomes an extension of the brand narrative. The intent was to make the physical environment feel like a continuation of the couture story rather than a backdrop.

Munjal described couture as a narrative rather than only fashion. She said the store was conceived as a symphony of craft, where every detail is reimagined with intention and every garment is treated as a story waiting to be discovered.

The flagship also marks the launch of Munjal’s debut bridal collection, Varda Veeda, which is inspired by the spirit of Kashmir. The collection draws from Kashmiri architecture, with a palette that references mountain paths, glowing hearths and treasured heirlooms. It is aimed at brides who embrace tradition while expressing individuality.

Munjal said Varda Veeda was created as an ode to Kashmir’s soul, serenity and strength. She noted that launching the bridal line within this space felt symbolic, as each piece speaks to a bride who is timeless, powerful and radiant, carrying beauty that has meaning.

The store offers a multisensory couture experience, combining curated music, soft lighting, layered scents and personalised styling consultations. Visitors are invited to engage with fashion as a journey through heritage, craft and emotion rather than a simple purchase.

For clients, the flagship signals Munjal’s intention to build a brand world in which architecture, storytelling and design are tightly interwoven, and where the bridal collection becomes part of a larger narrative about legacy and self expression.
