Dentsu India has announced the appointment of Rohit Potphode as Managing Partner for Sports, Gaming, Esports, and Live Experiences. The move strengthens Dentsu’s commitment to creating deeper connections between brands and audiences through innovative entertainment and experiential strategies. Potphode will report to Yosuke Murai, Head of India for Dentsu Sports and Entertainment.

Leading a new era of brand experiences

In his new role, Potphode will focus on shaping integrated brand experiences that merge sports, gaming, and live entertainment. His mandate includes building high-impact strategies that blend creativity with measurable results, helping brands engage audiences through immersive formats.

Sharing the news on LinkedIn, Potphode expressed excitement about this new journey, writing, “After four incredible years of growth, learning, and working with amazing people, I am turning the page to a new chapter. I am thrilled to share that I have joined Dentsu India as Managing Partner – Sports, Gaming, Esports and Live Experience.”

He added, “To my peers, collaborators, and the incredible network I have built over the past two decades, I look forward to co-creating magic together once again, just on a much larger canvas.”

A legacy of leadership across gaming and media

Before joining Dentsu, Rohit Potphode held several senior leadership roles across India and Southeast Asia. Most recently, he served as President of Esports and Global Gaming Partnerships at JetSynthesys, where he played a crucial role in developing gaming ecosystems and brand collaborations.

Prior to that, he led advertising sales and digital partnerships at A+E Networks in Singapore, launching the HIVE gaming and esports initiative. His earlier stints include leadership roles at Viacom SEA, Red Card Global, Viacom18, Times Network, Nimbus Communications, IMG, Ten Sports, MTV Networks, and Bennett Coleman & Co.

Throughout his career, Potphode has been known for his ability to blend creative storytelling with commercial strategy, driving revenue and building sustainable business models across entertainment and sports.
