At ITC corporate headquarters he led HR business partnering for corporate functions and drove talent programmes designed to support engagement and sustainability across a conglomerate of nearly 30000 employees.

At Samsung he was recognised as the fastest promoted HR leader in the company’s history, managing key business territories and delivering strong workforce stability metrics. His early stint at Tata Advanced Systems involved building centres of excellence across compensation, talent management and performance frameworks, which helped prepare the organisation for future growth.

Shukla holds an MBA in human resources from MDI Gurgaon and a bachelors degree in pharmacy from BITS Pilani, combining management training with a technical grounding in healthcare and life sciences. Outside work, he is an enthusiastic basketball player and often highlights the importance of discipline, teamwork and competitive spirit in leadership.

The elevation comes at a time when large healthcare and pharmaceutical companies are placing greater emphasis on global talent models, digital readiness and leadership depth. By assigning a broad corporate mandate to a single HR leader, Dr Reddys is signalling that people strategy is central to how it plans for growth and transformation.

With direct access to CXO stakeholders and the board, Shukla will be expected to connect capability building, culture and workforce investments with measurable business outcomes. The move positions HR as a strategic engine for the organisation rather than a support function, with corporate domains, global teams and senior leadership aligned under a unified talent vision.
