Stephen Deasy Joins Confluent as Chief Technology Officer to Drive AI Powered Real Time Innovation

With more than two decades of experience in engineering leadership, Deasy brings a proven track record of scaling global platforms. Before joining Confluent, he served as CTO of Benchling, where he built high performing product and platform teams. He also played a pivotal role at Atlassian, overseeing engineering for Jira, Confluence, Trello, and the company’s cloud platform. Earlier in his career, he held senior positions at VMware, EMC, and Groupon. Known for his technical depth and leadership skills, Deasy also holds multiple patents and is an active investor in early stage technology ventures.
